Fruits of the holy land...

Unholy graffiti...

Here's what was prominently displayed on a door of the old city if Jerusalem just steps from the temple mount. And we should talk peace with these people??

House Dedication (Chanukat Habayit)

I went to a Chanukat Habayit tonight but this was different than just any house dedication. It was at a hilltop that our government labels as "illegal". The owner bought wood and nails and built the home with his own two hands. During these days when the government is tearing down houses of our fellow Jews in our homeland, we tell them that every piece of this land is ours and we will not stop building and growing it! Mazal Tov!!

My cultural experience...

One of the nice things about living here is that most of the culture here is Jewish. Another nice thing is that wine is really good and really cheap. As I was checking out of the supermarket today one of our Arab cousins was bagging my groceries. He did a pretty good job but I noticed that he avoided bagging the wine. At the end everything was bagged except the wine and he asked me to take care of it. I was a little puzzled but I complied. Then it came to me... Muslims won't even touch wine. Interesting. Well, too bad for them...L'Chaim!!!

Job fair...

I was supposed to go to two job fairs today. I went to the one in the morning which was pretty much a bust! Then I decided that I would likely have better luck at the holy wall than at the second job fair. And here I am...
